Thank you St. Peter’s - and especially to Charlie! I’m very honoured to be the first #BookOfTheWeek for this school year! Here’s wishing you a great term of reading ahead! JS
Our last #BookOfTheWeek was chosen by Noah in J2, and is the wonderfully summery but still slightly creepy "Over Sea, Under Stone" by the inimitable Susan Cooper!
🎉 Congratulations to the 2024 Winners of the Yoto Carnegie Medals for Writing and Illustration, and Shadowers' Choice Medals @CarnegieMedals: @StoryBreathing, @JospehACoelho and @tiafisher_! #YotoCarnegies24

This week's #BookOfTheWeek is "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" by Brian Selznick, which has been recommended by Ben in J3, who found it really exciting even though reading isn't usually his thing!
Are you a librarian, publisher or bookseller? Have you got an amazing book that will blow York's Year 7 and 8's socks off?
Our nominations are now open for the 2025 York Book Award! Check the nominations criteria on the next post, and email us at [email protected]!
To help everyone remember their (hopefully rather smoother) half-term holidays, Grace in J1 has recommended "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul" by @wimpykid as our new #BookOfTheWeek!
We had the BEST time with @foulkeswrites today, even despite the dreary weather! J1-3 had a brilliant time listening to her talk and taking part in a surprise game, and J1 got to design their perfect secret hideouts in workshops throughout the day.
A vampirically delightful day!
We are incredibly excited to be welcoming @foulkeswrites to St Peter's 8-13 in a couple of weeks! She'll be speaking to J1-3 and guests from @BurtonGreen_Pri, and then doing exciting workshops with J1.
Emails have been sent out about how to pre-order books for your child 📚💖
Our final #BookOfTheWeek before half term is a team effort! Miles, Alexander, Jake AND Thomas in J2 got together to recommend "The Lonely Tree" by @LonelyTreeNews!
