@MatthewACherry @Nicole_saysLove I am a NYC based Film Editor. My strong storytelling skills have developed through editing in film and television for the past 16 years. I edit an array of content which includes feature-length documentaries, short films, TV pilots, branded content, and commercials.
Proud to announce that my film United States vs White Men was
selected for #YoFiFest2018! The Yonkers Film Festival is Nov 2-10, 2018. Stay Tuned for details on the exact screening date!
GRABBING BACK is about African American women running for Congress in 2018. LIVE @kickstarter Campaign NOW! If you can give great, but if not, please share if you like what you see. Super timely and important project. Would be so grateful! THNX https://t.co/Xwh1FiZmrI
.@tanziefornj traveled with @grabbingback today and ran into @amjoyshow during the taping of @MSNBC Everyday Racism. Let's see Tanzie through the primary to the Hill and then watch her in Grabbing Back #GiveBack2GrabBack to make it happen.
@BlackWebFest
Where is everyone located? I'm in NYC. It would be great to connect in person and meet other POC editors. My circle of editors are white, jewish or asian. @BlackWebFest @patdanbow @DOPCABLEXFORCE @AtarahJeffers
@patdanbow @BlackWebFest I've been thinking about doing a film on the Moors, but I would need a Mansa Musa to return to earth and help me with the budget.
@AtarahJeffers@BlackWebFest Definitely keep working on the craft of editing. Challenge yourself by trying new ways to work a scene. Watch a lot of films. Starting working on your own projects if you have to. Just do it! The best slogan ever.
@patdanbow @BlackWebFest A lot of times more often than you think, things do not go as scripted or planned on set and the editor has to find a way to make the scene work. We don't get a pass.
@BlackWebFest One of the biggest tips I remind myself when I'm editing is to really focus on the emotion of the story you are telling. Focusing on faces and connecting to the raw emotion helps me in the editing process.
