@TheWingsTrack@ta_is_legit@YouTube I remember watching you run those 300H.. Mike got me in that 200. His start is crazy. I remember when we both got the stick and he was pulling from me like I was a 11 second 100m runner. I just remember saying to myself "This guy is crazy fast".
@TheWingsTrack@YouTube days. He said he really didnt practice much and that he was HIGH at the regional meet when he ran. He also said he got hurt that summer in a TAC meet. I believe had he not of flunked out that ur he would have won state in the 1 and 2. And no disrespect towards Mike. He was an
@TheWingsTrack@YouTube I did t know of either one of them before the 89 season and clearly Mike was having his way with Doyle. The Doyle I knew and tried to emulate his running style had progressed drastically. Now I didnt see the race myself due to a hamstring pull, but my teammates told me that
@TheWingsTrack@YouTube Doyle clowned Henry in the 100 and 200 at Regionals In 89. What i do know is he ran a 10.19 and I believe a 20.46 both FAT that day. It was wind aided. I will have to look for that info later. I actually ran I to Doyle about 3 or 4 yrs ago in Dallas and we talked about his track
@I_Coach_Speed That is a VERY true statement. Where else can you run a 3:09 and still not make it to state. A lot of the time times and jumps in the nation was from the athletes out of region 2. And a side note. Who was the top dawgs of region 2 AND state in 91. Yup Killeen Texas
@TheWingsTrack@YouTube Not sure why he felt that the final handoff was a great handoff. It was so bad it nearly cost them the race. Great anchor leg by Evelyn Ashford.
@TheWingsTrack I've been away from the track game for a minute, but I'm gonna have to go with:
1st Roy Martin
2nd DeMario Wesley
3rd Doyle Jones (Before his 89 summer track injury)
4th Mattew Boling
