@mika_systems that colorway is too clean to ignore

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

@0xkerazcity those new balances actually go crazy on the toe

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

[小云的爱车小天地 @straight_bash]

Anthropic's biology team wired their research model into Blender, and the lab stopped drawing diagrams entirely

Most biology figures are illustrated after the fact, an artist reading a paper and guessing at the geometry, which means the picture can be wrong and nobody can tell.

The model builds the figure from the data itself, so the scene is a claim you can check rather than a drawing you have to trust:

> Ingest: it reads the structures, binding data and timing straight from the experiment
> Construct: Blender assembles the molecules at real scale, nothing eyeballed
> Animate: the interaction plays out on the timings the assay actually measured
> Trace: every object links back to the dataset that placed it

• Why generated figures beat illustrated ones
> A wrong distance is visible, because the scale is real
> New data re-renders the figure instead of commissioning a new one
> A reviewer can click an object and see the measurement behind it

• What the lab stopped paying for
> The illustration contract on every paper
> Weeks of back-and-forth describing geometry in words
> Figures that quietly drift from the data they came from

• What it changed in the science
> Two proteins that looked compatible on paper visibly clashed at real scale
> A timing the team assumed was simultaneous turned out to lag
> Three figures got pulled before submission because the geometry disagreed

One figure rebuilds from new data in under a minute.

And the part that broke my brain:

A scientific illustrator bills $1,200 and three weeks per figure.

The model rebuilt the whole set overnight after one dataset changed.

Same figure. One of them can be wrong without anyone noticing.

The problem was never making the picture look good.

It was making it accountable to the data ↓

THIS IS 5 CENTIMETERS PER SECOND REBUILT AS MOTION DESIGN WITH CLAUDE CODE.

the edit is called "paper heart". Laufey's Promise underneath, film shots cut between flat paper-white scenes.

it opens with a gray hand drawing colored rope lines across the page.

they look like train routes, and that's the point: the whole film is two people kept apart by train lines.

then the two of them stand on one floating half-sphere under a bare tree. it splits in two. a dashed line stretches between the halves, labeled "5 cm/s".

that's how fast a cherry petal falls, the number the title comes from. here it measures the distance growing between them.

every scene has a small label in the corner, like a figure in a diagram. "FIG. 04 level crossing, Ryōmō line → Iwafune, delay +4h 12m, snow heavy."

that's the night his train got stuck in the snow, turned into an isometric tower of grids, stripes and hazard tape, with tiny Takaki walking past.

the film shots don't just play. one gets torn into paper strips over his face.

another sits in a polaroid with Akari masked out in solid red and a crosshair on her. "FIG. 10 standing out."

and it ends where the title does: one red dotted line drifts down and lands in an open palm.

a year ago this was weeks in After Effects for one designer.

now it's masks, a shape that splits, diagram labels, collage and one line that keeps coming back, each one described to an agent in plain words.

how to get an agent to build scenes like this is in the article below ↓

DAY 1:
Opus 5.5 knows nothing about you.

DAY 7:
It knows your stack, your style and your current project.

DAY 30:
It knows what you tried, what failed, what you decided and why.

Same model.

Same price.

The only thing that changed is memory.

And it compounds every session.
