@WentRogue Yeah. Watching the gradual hollowing-out of my lovingly curated Minnesota list is super depressing, and I think it's worse by the day at this point.
@NaomiKritzer My mom did let me watch The Day After when it aired. I was 11, and we lived within spitting distance of Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota, so I was sure we’d be vaporized. I had recurring nightmares for years.
@CopyrightLibn As a kid my favorite drink was unsweetened iced tea. Sun-brewed in the summer (luckily never had a hostile bacteria issue), instant Nestea in the winter. I never developed much of a taste for soda or other sweet drinks. Had a staggering caffeine tolerance from an early age, tho.
@laffertylib @amylibrarian Same. I was out for a bit at lunchtime when it wasn’t as bad, and still felt it. Wore a mask for dog walk this afternoon and it was much better. But it’s nasty out there!
