@KwanDislike So he’s just kinda fitting wherever you can squeeze him? I know he was on 3rd one of those games against us last weekend. His LHP splits are pretty horrific lmao so not subbing Vierling there is brutal. He’s like our Rob Refsynder.
@EnragedMsFan I still believe in Kirb. I’ll finish his May starts edit tonight, and it shows when he cooks he COOKS. He’s just struggled a lot this season. Nowhere near “washed”, or trade territory though imo
Watched 3 of Kirby's last outings this morning editing his May starts.
Today, I saw his 4SM command returning. His sweeper was beautiful, his sinker/2SM is back, and he's not overly relying on his knuckle anymore. That gets eaten up after the lineup sees it one time through.
I personally think he's having sequencing issues, that aren't letting him establish pitches & make his solid breaking balls/12-6 knuckle predictable, especially when he throws them b2b in a sequence.
The offense is helping none, and this game is mostly on them. Kirby imo is going to catch all the shit, while he had a pretty solid start compared to the rest of his this year.
