A million Americans died. Workers lost jobs to mandates. Kids lost years of school they'll never get back. Businesses closed for good. Today my committee voted to hold Fauci in contempt for refusing to answer for any of it.

The Bible was written on three continents.
Asia.
Africa.
Europe.
In three languages.
Hebrew.
Aramaic.
Greek.
By over 40 different men:
Shepherds.
Kings.
Prophets.
Fishermen.
A tax collector.
A doctor.
A tentmaker.
Written in palaces and prisons.
In deserts and cities.
In freedom and in exile.
Across roughly 1,500 years.
66 books.
One continuous story:
Creation.
Fall.
Redemption.
Christ.
Most of these writers never met.
No committee planned it.
No editor stitched it together.
Yet it opens in a garden with the Tree of Life
and closes in a garden with the Tree of Life.
Different writers.
Different centuries.
Different cultures.
One voice.
Because behind the human hands was a divine Author.
Men held the pens.
But God wrote the story.

In 1927 Mexico, during one of the fiercest persecutions against the Church in modern history, a young Jesuit priest named Miguel Agustín Pro continued to secretly celebrate Mass, hear confessions, and bring the Eucharist to the faithful—disguised as a mechanic, a beggar, even a police officer.
When the government finally arrested him on false charges, they sentenced him to death by firing squad.
On November 23, 1927, as he walked into the courtyard, Blessed Miguel Pro refused the blindfold. He held a crucifix in one hand and a rosary in the other.
Then, with a calm smile, he stretched out his arms in the form of a cross and cried out:
“Viva Cristo Rey!”
(Long live Christ the King!)
Moments earlier he had forgiven his executioners, saying:
“May God have mercy on you! May God bless you! Lord, You know that I am innocent. With all my heart I forgive my enemies.”
The guns fired. A second volley was needed. And yet the photograph of that moment—arms outstretched, face serene—became one of the most powerful images of Christian courage in the 20th century.
Blessed Miguel Pro was only 36 years old. He was beatified by Pope St. John Paul II in 1988 as a martyr killed in odium fidei—in hatred of the faith. His final cry still echoes: Viva Cristo Rey!

If you are a Christian your confidence today rests on foundations that cannot be shaken. If God is for you, and He has not spared His own Son but delivered Him up for all of you, then He will graciously give you all things with Him. (Rom 8:28–39) And please don’t hear this as a platitudinal X post: it flows from the reality of your election. God chose you in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless, predestining you for adoption as His children according to His pleasure and will.
The Puritan theologians are helpful here, and understood something vital about this assurance: election and covenant work together, offering troubled believers a double source of assurance; you can plead the covenant with God, asking Him to fulfill His promises, while simultaneously finding comfort in the sufficiency of His prevenient grace and the immutability of His will in election. Your election is not fragile or conditional on your performance, as I’ve said before, your salvation is received not achieved. God’s immutable decree of election proceeds from His perfect counsel, the basis for maintaining His people in sanctification and imparting to them an inward principle of holiness.
Yet this absolute promise does not leave you passive. God’s love, made known to you, draws you out of yourself toward Him in orderly, faithful obedience. The conditional promises of the covenant are inseparable from your daily renewal of it through prayer, meditation, and worship. Your obedience becomes the very means by which you experience and confirm what God has already secured.
Anchor yourself in the permanence of God’s word. Heaven and earth will pass away, but His words will not pass away. (Matt 24:35) All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. (2 Tim 3:16–17) In this word, your election is declared, your redemption is promised, and your perseverance is guaranteed — not by your strength, but by His.
Genghis Khan has less than 10 manuscripts proving his existence.
Alexander the great has around 12.
Julius Caesar has 250.
Jesus Christ has over 25,000 manuscripts proving his existence, fulfilled 300+ prophecies, 500 accurate accounts stating the man they saw hung on the cross WAS WALKING AROUND 3 DAYS LATER! stop treating the bible like it’s some fairytale.
Jesus controversy? What are your thoughts?
Jesus Christ was a carpenter — strong, calloused, and built for hard labor. After brutal scourging that would've killed most men, He carried the heavy patibulum (crossbeam, ~75-125 lbs) a good distance toward Calvary (~600+ meters total route).
Fully God and fully man, He endured what no ordinary human could. Get back in the gym, boys — and lean on the Holy Spirit like the Savior did. 🙏
He came to live and die for us. What a King.
Imagine the pedestal every one puts Jonathan Roumie on he is just a normal guy with the normal struggles with the same end goal.

Rocky is such a beautiful film because it captures what it looks like - what it means - to fight for a dream. These moments where Rocky is by himself & just doing his best in the dark when no one is watching are truly so poetic. It’s what we do when no one is watching that counts the most. Some films are eternal. This is one of them.
