Geography professor, Dr. John Strait, and his GEOG 4360 students, are busy this week in Memphis & the Mississippi Delta visiting historic and cultural sites they discussed all Spring semester. A truly memorable and immersive field experience! 🎶

🌎 Geographer Dr. John Strait and his students in his GEOG 3350 ACE course - volunteered with the City of Huntsville at the Sam Houston Statue Visitor’s Center. They discussed how the statue functions as a site that evokes significant cultural meanings of time and place.
⭐️ Congratulations to alumna, Laura Phillips (Env. Science major with minors in Geology & Geography and Weather TA), who will begin her graduate studies at the University of GA this Fall (fully funded) in Geology. She spent the last year in the NSF Woods2Water RaMP program.
