First round of state playoffs had a great game at the plate tonight going 2/2 with 2 hr’s and a walk facing 88-91.
Stayed back pretty well on an above average curveball, but I still have a lot of room for improvement.

Ryder Strand is one of the best unsigned seniors in the entire state of North Carolina. The 6’5 wing plays for Heritage High School in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and has established himself as one of the top players in the state. In his senior season, Strand averaged 19 points, 11 rebounds, 3.3 blocks, 2.4 steals, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 56% from the field and 34% from three. Over the course of his career, he earned multiple accolades, including two All-Conference selections and Second Team All-District honors. He also posted a career-high 40-point game, set a school record with 9 threes in a game, and recorded a school-record of 7 blocks in a single contest. Strand is a true two-way playmaker who impacts the game in a variety of ways. Offensively, he is a dynamic threat, capable of finishing above the rim as a lob target while also creating his own shot. He moves with long, fluid strides that allow him to get past defenders on the perimeter, and he uses his impressive vertical ability to rise up and finish strong at the basket. He adds another layer to his game with the ability to shoot from beyond the arc, both off the catch and off the dribble, while also showing strong awareness and timing as a cutter. Defensively, Strand is just as impactful, with the versatility to guard multiple positions and disrupt plays all over the floor. He has shown the ability to block shots at all levels, even stepping out to contest and block three-point attempts before turning defense into offense in transition. Around the rim, his timing and hand-eye coordination allow him to consistently protect the paint, and he moves well enough laterally to stay in front of players on the perimeter. In addition to his success on the court, Strand is an elite athlete, clearing 6’6 in the high jump ranking fourth in the state. With his combination of size, skill, and athleticism, Strand remains one of the top unsigned prospects on the East Coast in the Class of 2026 @StrandRyder@TheUncommitted0@Uorangemen2@PrepHoopsNC

I was asked after basketball season to join track to do the high jump. I’ve just been doing this for a few weeks. I won my second meet and am now ranked #45 (nationally) and #6 (NC) by mile split. I am still working on my form but jumped 6’6 @HHSHuskyHoops@Husky_Sports
Maybe best all around game as a Husky.
