I went to the Elementals event last night at Silo park. It was an amazing night of taonga puoro, singing, guitars, poetry,, lights and sound under the acoustics of the Silo. Last night tonight, come along and experience the environment. https://t.co/khoJy2BXCE
Anyone know who runs the He Pataka Kupu site, the monolingual Māori dictionary? I think the server needs a kick, it seems to be down. https://t.co/yqVKfLv7fy
I’ve been told by “people who should know but don’t want to be known” that public access has been turned off. Some people are working on getting this changed hopefully.
@aoinifh I went to a language meetup once and someone there said the same thing to me. “Why not French? Much more use. “ So much more opportunity in NZ and the pacific with Māori to talk and for work opportunities. Also weird thing to say at a meetup for language nerds.
Ka haere atu au ki Tonga āpōpō. Mēnā, e mōhio ana koe i ētahi mea ki te kite, whakapā mai!
I’m flying to Tonga tomorrow, if you know of any things to see and do, let me know!
