I'M SO SORRY FOR THE ABRUPT CUT OFF MY MUNCHERS, MY POWER WENT OUT.
Apparently Hurricane Isaias has made a massive curve on its projected path, and the orange part of the hurricane will be hitting Atlanta. I'm not sure what this means for tomorrows stream, but I promise you I will do my best to make it happen weather allowing. The power companies aren't picking up for anyone right now.
If you are in the path of the storm, PLEASE be safe! It's a category 3 right now and is projected to steam roll Alabama AND Georgia! As of now, we're okay, and it's projected to hit my area around 8am tomorrow. I will keep you all updated!
people can laugh all they want that we have a charlie kirk painting, it was a precious gift from a family member last christmas because they knew how much his death affected us. charlie meant a lot to us, he changed my mind on so much and he became someone me and rev would watch together. and he died so tragically and so young, he was literally revโs age and only so many years older than me. he had so much of his life left ahead of himโฆ
the day he died i will never forget. rev coming in the room and telling me he had been shot, me seeing that video and rewatching it literally hundreds of times and hoping it was just ai, sitting on my bed, just completely shocked that something like that could happen. literally crying because how could someone be so evil? and then to see so many people online celebrate and make jokes, including tons of people in the vtubing space, broke my heart.
and it was a slap in the face that if i was gunned down, if i was murdered like that, or rev, that there are people on here that would laugh. they would revel in it. you know, i like to believe that people that say they hate us, if something bad happened to us, they would at least say we didnโt deserve it. and im sure some would, i hope so at least.
but it was a brutal reminder that some people genuinely want you dead. and that reminder hurts, a lot.
A little VTuber PSA: You do not have to stream every single day to prove that you're serious about this.
I see creators burn themselves out trying to maintain impossible schedules because they think consistency means:
โStream every day.โ
โPost every day.โ
โUpload every week.โ
โNever disappear.โ
That's not consistency.
That's a countdown timer until you hate your hobby.
Consistency means creating a schedule you can actually maintain. Maybe that's five streams a week. Maybe it's three. Maybe it's one. Maybe you spend two weeks making a really good video.
There is no universal number that makes you a โrealโ creator.
And taking a break doesn't erase your progress.
Your community isn't going to evaporate because you took a weekend off. Your followers aren't going to forget you because you didn't tweet for 24 hours.
You are allowed to be a human being.
I'd rather see a creator disappear for a week, come back excited, and make something they're proud of... than watch them force themselves online every day until they resent the thing they once loved.
