Strange Veins

Pupil of squalid prophets

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

People with green, photosynthetic skin were born, celebrated as miracles. A US bioweapon, meant to sabotage the crops of enemy nations, inadvertently destroyed all plant life on Earth. Then the greenskins, the only photosynthetics left, were enslaved, farmed, and cannibalized.

In the final installment of her three-part series, Cassandra Luna argues that the struggle for bodily and political autonomy requires the ruthless pragmatism of a ‘transocialist’ technopolitics. She urges the left to understand that time is running out to overthrow the technofascist empire, and that defeating them requires that we abandon our dogmas and embrace politics on the terms of the masses. To build the needed power to choose our own bodies, transocialists must aggressively leverage the DSA, back a 2028 presidential campaign for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and forge a radical socialist political pole.

@wali_hv Silicon Valley are the most consistent upholders of Tolkien. They do not represent “industry” — China alone represents industry. And that is exactly why the goal of Silicon Valley is to destroy China.

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@TNOQuoProQuid Pretty cool. What do you use to make your games?

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@TheChrisLambert The point is that the Green movement as it stands is ineffectual, delusional, totally joined at the hip with the existing “fossil fuel” industry.

Nobody in “fossil fuels” is supporting nuclear fusion research

@thatchthoughts @Cryptotiger589 @lancevideos Film predates Hollywood by decades, and most films are made outside Hollywood.

Most Nazis were allowed to keep their government positions (and led NATO, the EU, NASA). .

I will check out M&C. But the other movies you listed are slop for children. .

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@thatchthoughts @Cryptotiger589 @lancevideos Show me the high-art right wing movies. Any time period or country is fine, Hollywood is a blip

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@hoseja @lancevideos We cannot assume he was poor. The rich hide their money in offshore accounts.

And connections matter more than anything. His uncle Digger was basically giving orders to the President. Plemons is plugged directly into ruling-class networks, will never lack opportunities or credit

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@Mesianico_ @lancevideos @sabinaberman Seems she is a bog-standard left liberal, not a communist.

Her father was an industrialist. . . The movie shows that Hollywood is full of people like her, lmao

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@thatchthoughts @Cryptotiger589 @lancevideos Fair enough. Point me to the high-art conservative films and I’ll watch those too

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@hoseja @lancevideos Plemon’s character owns a private intelligence agency! He is not destitute, but very much part of the deep state, and is basically hereditary aristocracy.

I am not morally condemning Plemons. But it is hilarious and ironic that he is behind the “woke” play.

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@thatchthoughts @Cryptotiger589 @lancevideos Libs and conservatives are both deluded — the movie transcends their delusions

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@JenKelseyOKC @BudiswiserKTX I’m guessing your son had a part-time job during his schooling, not a 40+ hours a week job. My original point stands, that during school, less of his time and energy was devoted to work than if he wasn’t in school

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@Cpt_J_Yossarian You mean you hate the cognitive dissonance of your own Malthusianism? America has been thoroughly deindustrialized for decades, and actively underdevelops the entire world. The ruling class are a fetter on the means of production—we must unleash them.

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@TNOQuoProQuid Can you share your work dealing with artificiality?

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@TheLastKekker The frame narrative. The twists and revelations. See the movie!

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@iperson @lancevideos ?

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@LegoKingo That is the play’s (Fossil Fools) depiction of events. . . It is a reflection of the concerns of the play’s creators and audience

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@Urk00dfr1end @lancevideos Have you seen the movie

[Strange Veins @Strange_Veins]

@hoseja @lancevideos You are a fool. The hip, “revolutionary” black director of the play is very pointedly shown to be working for Digger’s family. . .
