I read *Le Mont Analogue* by René Daumal for the /r/fantasy book bingo, specifically the "Magical Realism" square.

-but because I decided to read it in French, and who would've guessed, reading a book in a language I'm not fluent in takes a lot of mental energy.

Still a fun read though, and light enough to be feasible second-language material. Beware lots of mountain climbing words though.
