Their work ensured that Pakistan entered the twenty-first century as a state capable of determining its own fate — and contributing to the stability of others. On this day, the nation salutes every individual — named and unnamed — who made that possible.
On 28 May 1998, Pakistan conducted successful nuclear tests in the mountains of Chagai, Balochistan. This day — Youm-e-Takbir, the Day of Greatness — is a tribute to the collective will of a nation that refused to leave its security to chance.
Youm-e-Takbir is a reminder that sovereignty is not granted it is earned. That security is not inherited it is built. That the scientists, engineers, and leaders who stood firm when the pressure to concede was greatest deserve not just acknowledgement, but enduring respect.
A successful training fire of indigenously developed Fatah-4, Ground Launched Cruise Missile was conducted today by Pakistan Army Rocket Force Command.
