@AllamFarmer Need j channel to wrap the bottom of tin. If you have sheets off I’d still replace that bottom insulation with roxxul, be good insurance. Essentially packing steel wool around your building perimeter.
@AllamFarmer Maybe replace the bottom 18” with mineral wool insulation? Insect, rodent, water, and fireproof. Cheaper and easier than spray foam, really remarkable product.
@RobSomerville1 Tried to digitize our records but found the old moleskin journal still worked best. One page breeding, one page calving. Stupid simple and had everything you needed. If the barn was on fire open the doors and grab “the book”! 10plus years in each one.
Tough day yesterday as we sent our last load of milk as Strathmourne Dairy. Forever grateful to the dairy industry that allowed us to thrive for the past 29 years! Still have 10 good cows milking looking for new homes if anyone is interested DM me please. Located in SW MB
@peel23 Just enjoy those quiet moments together, don’t Google medical questions, ask for help when you think you need it, and have fun because it’s a lot of fun.
@RobSomerville1 Chelated is the way to go. Worthwhile formulating a mineral package for your land base. Selenium, copper, and iodine are very important trace minerals for rebreeding. Given the variability of soil profiles I doubt they’re is a “one bag” for all approach.
@mcrae_brett Kind of like pickups now, they all do what they say on the can, all have niggles, and all cost a fortune. Pick your poison kind of deal. As a cattle guy tho I do like the looks of kubotas warranty and finance rates, not sure about the tractors themselves never ran one.
