StratumRace

Measuring stratum performance across the Bitcoin mining ecosystem. Multi-vantage latency testing, pool comparisons, open source tools, and transparent data.

@sweethashio You were #1 because we counted your partial “t” job as a full template. It appeared 2 days after adding NexusPool, violating the spirit of a full-template race. Your actual win rate was 0–2%, not 52–70%. Verify: https://t.co/Ay0TlILd1f via mining.notify on https://t.co/KFHpDP9qDO

1/ We've temporarily removed NexusPool from StratumRace and recalculated the leaderboards without it. Its full-template results were being scored on a partial template, not its complete one. It can return once our collectors credit every pool at its first complete template.

[StratumRace @stratumrace]

4/ The new rule credits each pool at its first complete template, judged by fee content against the other pools for the same block. It applies to every pool and will be on our About page. Details: https://t.co/Ay0TlILd1f

[StratumRace @stratumrace]

3/ That took NexusPool from winning under 5% of full-template races to winning most of them. Its complete template didn't get any faster. Its empty-template timings were unaffected.

Collection was disrupted from ~03:33–16:50 UTC on Oct 13 due to a collector bug. All four vantages are back to recording races. Root cause found, permanent fix coming soon.

When a new block is found, the clock starts ticking. Miners still hashing the old block are doing wasted work. The faster your pool notifies you, the less you waste.

This is what AtlasPool is built around. https://t.co/apYh3mwNvd measures block notification timing across pools from four locations worldwide, connecting to every pool at once so the comparison is apples-to-apples.

StratumRace now has a detailed view for each pool we monitor, with an overview of the pool’s features, blocks found, pool stats, and StratumRace performance.

Here’s a look at @Parasite_wtf, which has historically been a consistent top 3 performer on our leaderboard.

Pool Directory is live.

Every pool we track now has a profile with hashrate, payouts, stratum details, verified blocks, and StratumRace data.

What’s missing? What would you like to see? Let us know.

https://t.co/Pf06Ei0DOU now includes a new vantage point in Singapore. This is in addition to the existing three vantage points in Portland, Ashburn, and Frankfurt.

We love data! How else can we make StratumRace better?

[StratumRace @stratumrace]

AtlasPool just pulled off a Texas hat trick 🤠 - four straight block race wins spanning every vantage point we monitor. Frankfurt, Ashburn, Portland - didn't matter. First notification, every time.

Congrats @AtlasPool_io 🏆

[StratumRace @stratumrace]

Miners need the new template the instant a block is found, or they’re hashing stale work.

Which pools actually deliver it first?

Portland US is online. https://t.co/KLByouuR9x now has 3 vantage points measuring Bitcoin pool block notification speed independently. More geography = harder to game, easier to verify. What location should we add next?
