Agents pulled him from car & handcuffed him in seconds—not even asking for his ID.

Coworkers rushed to his aid yelling, "Are you guys ICE? This guy is a citizen here!"

Have been thinking about this and it seems like social features will be critical for bloggers, chefs who post recipes, etc to retain the long tail of users. For example, people enjoy reading the comments section. You don't get that via chatgpt unless you click thru to the source

News corps and publishers have been licensing their content to AI behemoths, I guess to recoup losses from folks getting their news&info via a chatbot. NYT had previously sued OpenAI over this. What about smaller self-publishers (e.g. self-hosted blogs)? Can't afford to sue

Every American should read this ACLU lawsuit about what is happening in California. It is the stuff of dystopian nightmares. This is not immigration enforcement. It is positively stuffed with videos and articles documenting racial profiling on a scale unseen since Jim Crow.

ICE agents point rifles—then drive van through protesters at San Francisco immigration court.

A black van sped through a dozen protesters—running over at least 1 woman trying to hold onto the hood.

Agents brandished rifles, deployed pepper spray & shoved people to ground— according to eyewitness accounts.

"I was bleeding everywhere," said one woman who declined to give her name. "They were brutal to those of us trying to exercise our rights and protect our community."

Protesters were trying to stop an arrest using their bikes & bodies—in what was San Francisco's most violent ICE encounter of 2025 so far.
