@ilySalt he’ll be okay the reason why most don’t get back to where they were at prior to the injury is from lack of rehab more so than the surgery not going well. if he just rehabs his ass off he’ll 100% be more athletic
@LacyHimself don’t be terrified, in 1.5-2 months you’ll be walking regularly with little to no pain. if you lock in during your mid stage rehab you’ll feel like a completely new man. i’m 3 months out and have no regrets
@JayClarkElliott@LegionHoops kyrie tore his acl lmao he’s been chilling for the last cpl months and is probably just as strong as he was before injury, it’s just helluva mental battle
@barberside42@d_red007@DrJesseMorse not sure if it’s applicable for achilies injuries but in terms of an acl injury your collateral leg is at equal if not more risk of tearing a ligament due to natural over compensation and load
@Flockbetterrr@DrNiravPandya maybe, it’s important to have proper gait mechanics before rushing, there’s no point in rushing to jogging or running all it will do is hurt you in the long run
he’ll be running in the next cpl months for sure tho
@ZoSpicyDubs this isn’t be the lowest iq comment section ever, the graft is at the weakest rn in his acl recovery obviously he won’t be able to run right now
give him 2 more months he’ll be jogging/running
@TheSoloWolf7@JmWou@DrNiravPandya you don’t wait til it’s healed you’re always progressing your strength which in turn keeps the knee safe, the graft becomes very strong it’s just your receptors can be fried which makes it hard for you to trust your knee even though it’s stable. the more he works out the better
@TheSoloWolf7@JmWou@DrNiravPandya no. after an acl tear your graft goes through phases of being weak before becoming strong like a native ligament
after surgery you need to be using it a lot or else a phenomenon called AMI will bite you in the ass, give him like 7 more months and the difference will be clear
@ferzzzzs@DrNiravPandya way worse than an acl tear lol
acl tears are very easy to bounce back and become a better player than you were prior to the surgery
@Kingg_mercurial @HiddenNBA no achilles is much worse, ACL tears are so common now and many people bounce back to become better it’s just if you were mentally able to rehab hard enough
