@deskdeskdeskde dangerous is a strong word. I understand it being a cause for concern and i agree with it mostly but dangerous...where would u draw the line?
@deskdeskdeskde just coming up with hypothetical examples here. Maybe I will get sick and need her care 24/7. Maybe the opposite will happen and she'll be dependent on me. It all fluctuates
@deskdeskdeskde im in uni rn, my gf never finished her degree. Hypothetically some years down the line i will be able to get a job that pays better than my gf, maybe even significantly so. I will have financial leverage in that situation and so the power imbalance will change to be in my favour
@deskdeskdeskde my relationship is up to those who see the dynamic irl to judge. I feel happier with her, she feels happier with me. I really dont understand what the problem is if the relationship is not causing pain or requiring one to lose/abandon something
@deskdeskdeskde and then for most 19 year olds youre either in ur second semester of uni, second year of uni, probably working part time, or working full time. at that point i dont think the immaturity difference is that significant for it to be a concern outside of subjective 'icky' feelings
@deskdeskdeskde -ip really depends on a case to case basis. Like does the 18 year old have the means to support themselves (mentally, financially, physically etc) if the relationship would go south? and really these are valid questions in a non-age gap relationship too
