@rvparade also it feels silly to jump through so many hoops just to support an artist especially knowing they'll just make more rules next time to stop me from supporting them. that's what keeps happening.
It’s fine if they’d just admit they don’t want foreigners attending their concerts. But they always ask why they’re not as big as kpop, why they’re not doing better globally, like… please look inside. All your issues are because your industry doesn’t want us at all.
I say this as someone who has used every loophole imaginable and have attended multiple concerts in Japan. The lengths I’ve had to go to just to apply for ticket lottery is ridiculous. And it comes with the risk of being turned away at the venue because you don’t live in Japan.
I've said it beforehand, but one of the reasons why proxies are so popular for Japanese merch is because of factors like this. The mentality is that if you aren't physically in a store/event in Japan, you should never get it. lol
