Pakistan’s First Professionally Run Sports Management Organization Secures Sports TV Channel

Islamabad (29-05-2025):

In a ceremony held at its headquarters, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) issued sports satellite tv channel license to Strawberry Sports Management, country’s first professionally run sports management organization.

The organization secured the sports satellite tv channel license through a competitive bidding process.

Chairman PEMRA, Mr. Saleem Baig Mirza, shared that,”we are delighted to observe that an organization dedicated towards sports management has secured sports satellite tv channel. We hope the organization will add immense value towards the sports content available to viewers”.

The Founder of Strawberry Sports Management, Mr. Haider Ali Daud Khan, opined that “we are confident that sports tv channel managed by professional sports management team will open up numerous possibilities for the youth of the country. The channel will lift sports and communities often ignored and over-looked. We are known for walking the talk, so we have already set ourselves the highest standards”.

To its credit, Strawberry Sports Management has successfully conceived and conducted international sports league, delivered numerous sports events across Pakistan, and contributed significantly towards athlete development, sports advocacy and youth capacity building.

Strawberry Sports Management (SSM), Pakistan’s leading #sports enterprise, proudly announces the launch of Heroes Super Hockey (HSH) — the country’s first-ever junior-level field hockey league, set to debut in the 2025–26 season.

Owned and conducted by Strawberry Sports Management, Heroes Super Hockey is a landmark initiative aimed at reviving hockey from the grassroots, providing a structured platform for talent identification, talent development, and professional exposure for young athletes across Pakistan.

Empowering the Next Generation of Hockey #Talent:

The inaugural edition of Heroes Super Hockey will feature junior #players from across the country, representing regional franchise teams under the mentorship of experienced coaches. Designed as a sustainable, professionally managed, and broadcast-ready league, HSH will create clear pathways for talented young players to progress from grassroots participation to national and international competition.

League Vision & Objectives:

Heroes Super Hockey seeks to:
•Build a sustainable talent pipeline for Pakistan’s hockey ecosystem.
•Revitalize grassroots hockey infrastructure through a modern, market-oriented model.
•Strengthen commercial, media, and fan engagement value around hockey as a dynamic and entertaining sport.
•Promote inclusive participation, encouraging both male and female junior athletes.

League Format:

The inaugural season will feature four or more franchise teams, each representing a key region of Pakistan. All matches will be centrally produced and broadcast live, ensuring professional standards, quality coverage, and maximum visibility for players and teams.

A Step Toward Revival of National #Pride:

Players, coaches, and hockey fans across the country have hailed this positive development. It is widely hoped that through Heroes Super Hockey, the national sport of Pakistan will receive the revival it deserves and, in due course, bring pride and recognition back to the country.
