@LakotaMan1 I grew up in NE and in 4th grade we studied state history, which did include some info on Native history. But we never learned about Wounded Knee, despite it being 20 miles away, because I guess history stops at the border. So learning from you is helping to fill in the gaps.

@Rtreatwilliams NPR, MSNBC, and WaPo daily. I also check the websites for the local news stations. I stopped subscribing to the local paper, even though I want to be supportive, because there is very little local news that isn't about sports.
