• 우마무스메는 어느 날 생겨난 인간의 부류 중 하나가 아니라 뿌리부터가 인간과는 다른 별개의 종족
•서러브레드 외에도 반에이, 웜 블러드 우마무스메의 존재도 암시됨
• 고대에는 인간과 우마무스메 사이의 교류가 없었음
•그럼에도 우마무스메들이 아이들을 교육하기 위한 자기들만의 문화(현대 오식 준대제에 전해지는 토비카게의 원형이 되는 행사등)를 고안한걸 보면 모종의 방법으로 인구수는 늘어나는 듯
•우마무스메와 인간의 첫 교류에서 인간은 순수하게 우마무스메의 능력에 감탄해서 매료됐고 우마무스메는 그런 인간이 싫지 않았음
•우마무스메가 처음으로 "마음의 힘"을 각성한 계기는 위의 첫 교류를 가진 인간이 역병으로 죽어가면서 교류한 우마무에게 "옆 마을에 내 편지를 전해줘, 네 속도면 늦기 전에 도착할 수 있어"라고 부탁하고, 우마무는 죽어가는 그 사람이 자기에게 걸어준 꿈에 보답하고자 달려나가며 전에 없이 빠른 속도와 지구력을 발휘하게 됨
•그 일을 계기로 두 종족 사이의 교류가 늘어나고 마음의 힘을 경험하는 우마무가 늘어나며 자신들에게 꿈을 걸어준 인간을 기억하기 위해 우마무스메들이 자신들의 행사에 인간을 끼워놓기 시작함, 이게 평범한 준대제와는 다른 12년에 한 번 열리는 오식 준대제의 기원
•즉 개쩌는 신체능력을 가졌고 인간 없이도 종족 보존이 가능한 우마무스메가 인간과 공존하는 이유는 우마무스메들이 그것을 바라기 때문. 마야는 이걸 "인간은 우마무스메를 사랑하며 우마무스메들도 그런 인간들을 사랑하니까. 그렇기에 우리는 엮여 있는 것"이라 표현함. 네오유니가 우마무스메 세계가 생겨난 이유와 자신이 그 세계로 넘어온 근원이 "사랑"이라고 말했던 것과 일치
