BRO 💀💀💀
(lando on his way to do a practice start)
will: “lando, we’re managing a potential brake issue. so there’s no need to push the braking on this”
lando: “at all? can i break or? i need to”
will: “just don’t hit the brakes hard. we just wanna get around to the launch”
Q: What about Lewis (Hamilton) at Ferrari? What do you make of him making that move and trying to build something new there?
Lando Norris: "I think it's good for Ferrari; it's good for his career. When I was 8 years old, I used to watch Lewis at McLaren beating Fernando. So, for me, he's always been someone I've admired. And when I was a kid, he was kind of my hero. Seeing Lewis in a McLaren was something very, very special."
"So I'm glad he's bounced back after those tough times. I think it's great for anyone to see someone who's going through tough times turn things around and start doing well again. I think that's something he seems to have shown so far this year. Especially over the last two weekends. He seems to have done a really good job. So I hope he can start winning again. I can't imagine Monza if Lewis wins. It'll be crazy. It's great. I'm a fan of racing. So I think it's great to see this kind of thing and experience it. So I really hope he can win races again."

“speaking of champions like alonso, what do you think about them wanting to extend their careers so much and continue proving they're the best? what lessons do you take away from them?”
lando: “i think something fernando has always had is the exact opposite of me. he's always had incredible self-confidence. in my case, i used to be here (raises his hand), maybe after last year i'm here (raises his hand a little). fernando is always here (raises it all the way). it's not a bad thing. fernando has proven that he's one of the best drivers in formula 1 history. and i think he really is. his mindset is incredible. he's very, very smart. but hes also very dedicated. he's very dedicated to his work.
in my case, i won't be here when i'm 40. i want to leave and do other things. i'm in formula 1 because i love it. not because i need a job. i'm lucky to be able to call it a job now. but when i started racing, i didn't do it because new formula 1. or because i was going to get paid or anything like that. i just started racing because love driving. and as soon as i start missing this a little, i’ll do something else. i'm still excited about my future, about having kids. raising kids. maybe they get into motorsports, maybe they play golf, maybe they won't play any sports and will just be good kids. i can't wait for all of that.
i think he's perhaps the most disciplined. the hardest worker. a guy who's in love with his sport - something i don't think you see in any other sport. there are very few people like that in the world. maybe other champions like brady, woods, or federer have it. i want to practice their sport every day. they'll do everything they can to be the best in their sport. and alonso has that. and he’s so passionate about it that he'll keep trying again and again.”

The way George pleaded with the stewards during the red flag to not give him the drive-through for not serving the pitlane speeding penalty, only for Alpine to now prove that those penalties should've never been given. That would be enough to turn me into a villain, I fear 😭
