3 STEM students raced Saturday in a local qualifier. Lucas Allen came away with a win. Logan Allen placed 3rd. Matthew Mohr got 1st and is the local champion. He’ll race in the 88th All American Soapbox Derby World Championships on July 18th in Akron. @StreetsboroMS
Our Mickey Thompson derby car was used in a promotion for Alex Taylor Racing and the International Soapbox Derby. The MT car has placed 1st and 3rd at the last two Gravity Race Challenges for the school @StreetsboroMS
Winners of the 6th grade STEM design challenge. Students had to design and build a prototype ankle foot orthosis for a patient who walks on their toes. @StreetsboroMS
Ryan Dietz was nominated for the Honda Innovation Award today. Over 500 robots from across the country were at the National Robotics Challenge. Only 13 robots which included high school and post secondary were chosen. Way to go Ryan! @StreetsboroMS
Congratulations to our four teams that made the finals today at the National Robotics Challenge. Gavin’s team placed 3rd in the Rescue Bot, Lucas’s team placed 4th in Rob Hockey, Cole’s team made top 6 in Robo Hockey and Denim’s made top 6 in Mini Sumo. @StreetsboroMS
Congratulations to our rescue robot team of Gavin, Corban, and Evan and our mini sumo team of Denim and Destinee. They both have made it to the final 8 at the NRC and will compete tomorrow.
