We're running a survey of renters to help inform our approach to solar access for renters. If you are (a) a renter and (b) have thoughts on rooftop solar, we'd love to hear from you! https://t.co/voyj1WiKnz
💡 Melbourne's stepping up with a game-changing energy retrofit! With the right changes, renters could see energy bills drop to $2 a week. It's time for governments to back more of these projects.

We don’t really talk about the impact of such a big Council in Brisbane. Check out this article in @brisbanetimes by Zac Hope 👇

@L_R_Kennedy@choiceaustralia@Choice Emphasizing that some wood burners create less smoke than others, is the heater retail version of mining industry ads for 'clean' gas replacing coal, at the expense of solar and home insulation.
A claim based on politics, not best practice or science

@L_R_Kennedy@choiceaustralia Never thought I would see @choice publish scientifically false information, based on a vested interests of a retailer.
Did you fact check?
This statement is false, though common in heater retail spin.
All wood burning creates air pollution, spreads that harm to neighbours. 1/2
@Lamamu63393009@ermahhgod@Littlefishb1ue @QldFES @cityofgoldcoast Think you are spot on with this
So much of the negligence is around passing the parcel of responsibility, lack of clear or timely information between responsible govt services.
Air quality monitor shows deadly, very localized #woodsmoke pollution in #Brisbane last night; this is the reality of firepits
Gift your whole block 3rd world air quality, endanger the lives of people with #asthma.
There's no forest for burning off here, this was residential
#Brisbane people! I'm looking for people to join my register of homes interesting in participating in a study of bushfire smoke from hazard reduction burns. We've all experienced thee terrible air quality the last few days and we have a study 1/n

@qldhealth@Littlefishb1ue @QldFES The ball is entirely in the court of QFES and QldHealth.
Give us earlier, clearer warnings, better updates
Adapt your triage process and staff awareness for changing environmental conditions
At least update form responses about woodsmoke risk!
Time is critical in emergencies
@qldhealth@Littlefishb1ue @QldFES Essentially knowing I should seek emergency care, it's already life threatening.
But also knowing that seeking emergency care is a gamble
Because the existing systems aren't prepared to deal with the impact of worsening woodsmoke on people with asthma.
