Hi all! Sadly, I have been informed that MANY of my templates are being sold on TpT. Please know that this is NOT right. What I do and share for FREE is for you to use in your classroom (virtual or physical), for PD sessions or presentations, but not to be sold. Thank you!
.@CADeptEd@GavinNewsom During the StateSuptMediaCheckIn @TonyThurmond spoke about monetary donations 4the #DigitalDivide Task Force. If CA receives money what will happen when devices break/are no longer supported? I would appreciate more info or opportunities 2provide feedback
FWIW, I'm planning to teach 100% online in the fall. It's easier for me to think about transitioning to in-person from online than any other model out there.
Where is your head at when thinking about what model to plan for?
I'm beyond excited to say that I will be returning in the classroom this fall, teaching math at @AltaLomaHigh.
On a related note, any advice for a new teacher? ;)
Amazing. Trump goes to the Rose Garden. He talks about Hong Kong. Not a word about George Floyd’s murder. Nor about the violence and riots in Minneapolis. Nor about the 101,000 Covid deaths in just 3 months. Do we even HAVE a president? What does he imagine his job covers? Golf?
And focus on your spheres of influence. Educators, it may not always feel so, but we have significant influence. It is time to protest a system that we have long enacted that has only been designed to perpetuate societal inequities. We need to show up to disrupt these systems.
Read White Fragility & Whistling Vivaldi. Both great for reflection on the implicit biases we carry and how they affect our actions and interactions. Next read: How to Be an Anti-racist. Committed to do better than society says I need to do. We all need to make this commitment...
“It’s up to all of us—Black, white, everyone—no matter how well-meaning we think we might be, to do the honest, uncomfortable work of rooting it out.”
A constant voice of reason- time to listen & take action for change. Let’s all start with self-examination. This is not ok.
I gotta be honest the worst looting I've ever seen take place happened a few weeks ago when corporations collected over 500 billion dollars in stimulus money while everyone else was left with a $1200 dollar check and having to decide if they pay for food or rent..
Schools cannot physically reopen safely with the funding level proposed in the #MayRevision. Budget cuts to education would be devastating at a time when students need more support than ever. #CABudget#WeAreCTA
Lot of details in the latest Ken Rosenthal piece, but my three biggest takeaways:
-Aiming for 80 games now rather than 100
-Rosters expanded to as many as 45-50
-Most, if not all, teams expected to play at their actual parks
