Blue Lock has the best art style in all of sports manga and top 5 in all of manga history.
The quality never drops. Week after week, chapter after chapter, the consistency is unreal.
@nomnii is one of the greatest artists.
And these panels are from the most recent match.
Sae is the scariest U20 player in Blue Lock.
The moment he gets the ball, he’s attacking the goal and creating chances.
He never stops to analyze, he calculates while moving forward, which is why everyone panics when he’s on the ball.
Him also having the best pass and shot accuracy, with also the best playmaking ability amongst any U20 player is terrifying.
As a former Madrid level striker, he will score himself if no one is available to assist.
A true nightmare of a player, always sniffing a goal.
@sacredcloud Yeah, that's why I put Sae and Hugo same tier, I don't mind people who change those two.
But I do believe when Sae goes all out he will surpass Hugo by a lot.
My current NG11 rankings in Blue Lock:
1 - Loki
2 - Bunny
3 - Sae
4 - Hugo
5 - Kaiser
6 - Lorenzo
Lorenzo and Kaiser are at the bottom for me. Lorenzo lost multiple NEL matches despite being a NG11 CB and having Barou as striker and Aiku partnership, while Kaiser had to awaken, use Meta Vision and Predator Eye, and push himself to the limit just to keep up with Isagi (and lost in two matches to him)
Hugo and Sae are a tier above. Hugo dominated Japan and became Isagi’s biggest obstacle yet, while Sae dismantled Blue Lock on a super weak Japan side while holding back from scoring, not using meta vision/predator eye and he didn't sweat in a single panel for 90 minutes.
Bunny sits above them based on the hype surrounding him as Spain and Barcelona's ace, with him also being the main striker duo alongside Lavinho.
Loki remains number one. He’s France’s main striker, a World 5 player, and is constantly portrayed as the worlds next best striker.
End of series prediction: Kaiser becomes the best striker in the world.
@nahidjump123@Meguru_UV U18 japan team LMAOOO
What happened to Sendo? What happened to all the Japan starters?
All replaced by the Blue Lockers after the NEL.
Stay delusional bro 💀✌️
Kira being a threat to Isagi makes no sense to me.
Isagi has already gone toe to toe with Kaiser and Hugo. He is on a different level.
Are we really saying Kira is above Rin, Barou, Shidou, or even Bachira?
There’s honestly nothing Kaneshiro can do to make me believe that.
@Meguru_UV Hahahaha man the delusional Blue Lock fans are crazy
Did you skip past the NEL? This competition is the only reason Blue Lock made it this far.
Guess who didn't participate in it? Kira.
He has 0 valid reason to be a threat to current Isagi.
The NEL is the only reason Japan is competing at this level.
Without it, they don’t beat Nigeria easily and they definitely aren’t pushing France.
Look at the current lineup, Aiku is the only starter left from the original Japan team.
A "famous" upcoming striker in Japan is like an ant in the footballing world...
So Kira not participating in the NEL, leads to him being a threat to Isagi/Rin making no sense.
I love Kaiser, but he’s arguably the weakest NG11 we've seen so far.
He’s the only NG11 who had to awaken, evolve, and push himself to the absolute limit just to keep up with Isagi.
And that’s exactly why I think Kaneshiro is setting him up as Isagi’s ultimate rival.
Kaiser may be the weakest now, but by the end of the story, I can see him becoming the world’s best striker, with Isagi’s final challenge being to devour him and take that title.
When you put all the pieces together, everything starts to make sense
Sae is easily a top 3 NG11 for me.
Getting scouted by Madrid at 13 from Japan is already insane. Then he switched from striker to midfielder and still became NG11 level.
In the U20 match, he dominated Blue Lock while playing on a Japan team where Aiku is the only current starter for Blue Lock. He controlled the game for 90 minutes without breaking a sweat, and we still never saw an awakening, Meta Vision, Predator Eye, or the full extent of his abilities.
Meanwhile, Kaiser had to awaken, use Meta Vision and Predator Eye, and push himself to his absolute limit just to keep up with Isagi.
That’s why I currently have only Loki and Bunny above Sae.
When Sae finally goes all out against Spain, I think a lot of people are going to rethink their NG11 rankings.
Prepare yourselves.
Hot Take : on en a assez vu de Hugo Vivien maintenant pour confirmer officiellement le fait que Sae Itoshi est bien le prodige de la nouvelle génération le plus faible.
When Sae faces Bunny, I’m convinced he’ll tap back into his striker roots for a few moments.
That’s when we’ll see Predator Eye, his old signature shot, and a side of Sae we’ve never seen before.
The potential of Sae vs Bunny is insane.
Madrid vs Barca. Sae having both meta vision and predator eye.
Kaneshiro is going to cook.
How have we still not gotten Isagi x Shidou?
Whenever Isagi runs out of solutions, I always think Shidou would be the perfect striker to pair with him.
Shidou’s chaotic and aggressive style would give Isagi endless new “puzzles” to solve.
We seriously need this duo.
@DarkShisui__ Saying Isagi can't work with someone is delusional imo, literally called "genius of adaptation".
He would find a way to work to work with him if the situation was for it.
Whether it is to devour him, work him with, create a devils contract with him, Isagi can make it work.
You know what’s so funny about seeing Hugo smirk like this?
Knowing that this version of Isagi is going to return in the World Cup final and completely destroy him.
I can't wait, round 2 is about to be a MOVIE.
No, Sae didn't play because he hates Japan and think they aren't worthy of him.
He literally says "No striker in this country is worthy of my passes" you just proved you don't read the manga lmaoo
Sure Loki didn't try, not because it's the U20 World Cup, but because it is the group stages.
But Loki trying or not was never an issue to me, it was the writing, but you guys are putting words in my mouth.
France vs Japan is the worst written match in Blue Lock.
Loki told Charles in the NEL that he NEEDS him in order to become the worlds best...
But in this match against Japan, Charles didn't pass Loki IN A SINGLE PANEL.
This is just one of the many major issues about the match.
These players are professionals. Ask them if the U20 World Cup matters and they’d probably smack you for asking something so stupid.
Who cares if Loki was “trying” or not? He challenged Isagi before the match and asked for Charles’ passes, yet neither narrative actually went anywhere.
So why even set those plot points up if you’re not going to follow through with them?
I love Blue Lock, I like the France vs Japan match overall, but being critical, it is the worst match by Kaneshiro in this manga.
Breakdown:
Loki told Charles he was going to prove to Isagi that he wasn’t just lucky to be born fast, which made it seem like he’d dominate Japan through more than just speed.
But every major Loki moment in the match was still just… speed. So what was the point of that narrative?
Then in the second half, Loki asked Charles for more line breaking passes, yet they still never linked up once.
This match shafted way too many characters. Rin ghosted most of the game, Charles disappeared, Chigiri did nothing, Shidou barely mattered, and Loki only showed up for goals near the end. It honestly feels like Kaneshiro struggles handling large casts in one match, which is why the NEL flowed much better with everyone split into different teams.
Japan’s preparation also made no sense. They supposedly studied France beforehand, yet nobody knew Hugo, not even Isagi after he traveled the world to study world class players. Then Ego reused the exact same setup from the Nigeria match as if France wouldn’t prepare for it LOL.
Camus shutting down Bachira perfectly explains the issue too. France clearly studied Japan’s Nigeria match and Camus stopped Bachira specifically, but against Barou and Shidou Camus struggled because they were on the bench vs Nigeria. So why did Japan barely adapt anything themselves?
The whole match just felt weirdly written.
