@trainwreckxic I think most of these are probably worth checking, but you‘ll need a doctor to evaluate/explain the results. Each one of these parameters on its own means very little / could change for a number of different reasons, and a professional could interpret them in context
@trainwreckxic So basically if you really need a test, look for one for Ferritin, but I think you‘d get a clearer picture from a standard blood panel (because the shape/size of your red blood cells changes based on what you‘re deficient in)
@trainwreckxic I‘ve read that some tests you can buy only test for serum iron (not good because that can fluctuate a lot). The ones that test for Ferritin are probably better, but that parameter alone could change for a lot of reasons (like infection).
@trainwreckxic Nooo seriously they probably just think skeletal=bmi 13 because they don‘t think you could survive with a lower bmi. You don‘t look bmi 13. At all.
@Yanqui_U_X_O_ Also it‘s really subjective, like of course a surgeon who regularly opens up people‘s intestines will think anything above muscle is superficial
@Yanqui_U_X_O_ Honestly I don‘t get why people even feel the need to comment on depth/superficiality, it seems so pointless to me (and hurtful of course)
@biggerfishesss + my personal experience with wounds on the abdomen is that every single time I had one they had to surgically ligate a vein because it wouldn‘t stop bleeding
@biggerfishesss There‘s so many superficial veins in that spot and it‘s really difficult to stop bleeding there because you can’t easily put a pressure bandage on it. Please don‘t do it
