@RealKrysKo@natnewswatch@msSharanKaur Reality? This is reality: Pierre came out far too quick and gleeful in predicting Canada was in a recession and Carney was causing the economy to crater

Unequivocally good news on the Canadian employment front this morning. Employment rose by a huge 88,000 positions in May, the unemployment rate fell 0.3 percentage points to 6.6% and private sector jobs rose by 56,300 positions, also a very substantial gain.
Bravo to @TinaYazdani for holding these corporate hacks to account. Journalists are not supposed to be nice or pleasant. We are to hold power to account without fear or favour, and Tina does just that at Queen’s Park https://t.co/4EcdKboeOV

Alberta separation would cause the economy to:
- Drop by 7.2% in year one
- Personal incomes drop by 6.2%
- Business investment falls by 8%
- Trade costs increased by 12%
I thought the Alberta separation boys and girls said things would be better?

@StephenO62223@ElGuadalupe3@CanadianPolling They did the same thing last election. Heck, even Poilievre was putting out his supporters with signs saying "Do you really believe the polls?" Tinhat stuff. (and yes, the polls were to be believed).
@GlobalBoiling@bourassa3232@natnewswatch Ipsos-Reid is hardly a Liberal controlled outfit. But then, you guys claim all the pollsters are somehow Liberal controlled., because none of them show #"s you're wiling to accept showing you're going to get crushed.
@NorthernGal1991@HandmaidAlberta@natnewswatch Count on a Conservative or separatist to deny polls. All the polls in hte election year forecast a Liberal win, and sure enough it was a Liberal win.
The separatists are going to be crushed if this referendum come about.
Not bad, considering we're in a "technical recession" (or a full blown one according to the Conservatives). Pierre Poilievre's spin on this should be worth the price of admission. #cdnpoli

NEWS: The House has passed the Ukraine Support Act, 226-195, to provide new military aid to Ukraine and impose tougher sanctions on Russia.
The bill advanced through a discharge petition despite Speaker Mike Johnson's efforts to block a vote.
18 Republicans and former Republican Kevin Kiley broke with leadership to vote for it.
@PeterTu67128266@sarobertson_ Well, it bugs the Americans enough that they demand their booze be reinstated. You could also see the impact refusing to buy US liquor has had on Jack Daniels etc in Kentucky.
@lanouette_ian@338Canada You don't want to discount what other polls say, certainly... but when Leger is the top rated pollster with an A+ rating at 338 showing this result, you can't dismiss it.
@Grumps0906@CanadianPolling@338Canada most Canadians rightly percieve this "technical recession" isn't Carney's fault.. its the guy south of the border.
The hard truth is that these MPs owe their entire jobs to Carney, whether they like it or not. They don’t seem to understand that their concerns are what almost brought them to ruin.
If these MPs are truly concerned, they should just leave. Carney will not change policy for them
