@indenturedcat Iโm going to tell you an ancient and wise Chinese proverb to remember and say should you ever find yourself in situations like this again. And I promise you itโll improve your life.
The "no to AI" performative virtue signaling and anti-AI messaging that people like Ironmouse do completely dissolve when enough money is involved.
Fortnite uses AI in a lot of things, not just AI-generated voices but also in its development process as well. So did NTE and Expedition 33.
Now the Ironmouse fans are shifting the goalposts to suit her preference...
Before, it was NO AI... not even a little bit. ZERO TOLERANCE!
Then maybe some placeholders in E33 were okay...
Now it's "fine" as long as there is no AI in the final art displayed in the game. AI voices are evidently okay now, despite being against them as well previously.
The thing with Fortnite is that they are much more blatant about their AI use compared to many other games. They talk about using Nano Banana, GPT Image, and some kind of internal Media Gen platform for their own studio...
Not some kind of we don't have AI in the final product like E33 or NTE, wink wink. Epic has been very clear about how much AI they use.
But now, AI is okay when there is clout and money to be had... and evidently her fans are okay with it too...
Hypocrites, all of them!
That's what I've been saying about all of these performative clowns. They never had a real principle they would stand on... and just rode the wave of anti-AI until that wave wasn't so convenient for their bottom line.
