Being early is hard.

But it's only really hard when you don't have a thesis.

I bought $HEDGE because I saw the potential of RWAFi before the narrative really had a name. Tokenized stocks are coming onchain, and somebody has to build the financial layer around them.

Then I looked deeper.

A founder with experience building in major DeFi lending.
A product suite that actually ships.
Stock lending. Options. Liquidity infrastructure. Hedgefun. AI. Now mining and gamification.

I aped because my thesis was simple:

If this guy actually turns Hedgehood into a serious RWAFi protocol, even $100M doesn't sound crazy relative to the market they're trying to address.

Then came the first hype cycle.

People discovered it.
People FOMO'd.
Price ran.
Attention exploded.

And now we're in the less exciting part:

BUILD MODE.

This is where timelines get quieter.

This is where products get refined, liquidity gets built, integrations happen, partnerships get worked on and distribution starts scaling behind the scenes.

And yes, this phase can take weeks or months.

It's also where tourists get bored.

The dev literally said the focus is product, not token PA — and somehow degens manage to FUD even that.

Personally, that's exactly what I want to hear from someone trying to build something bigger than a two-week pump.

I just added more around $700k.

Not because I know where $HEDGE trades tomorrow. I don't.

I'm adding because the fundamental thesis I bought hasn't changed — the team has actually shipped more since then.

I'll judge this bet properly toward the end of Q4.

Until then I'm watching the things that actually matter:

product → liquidity → users → integrations → scaling.

Being early isn't about magically buying the bottom.

It's about having a thesis strong enough to distinguish volatility from invalidation.

If the thesis breaks, I reassess.

If they keep executing?

I stay patient.

I've seen this phase before.

Hype gets attention.
Building creates conviction.
Scaling decides the outcome.

Re bidded $HEDGE. The initial hype has sold off, and had a few hiccups launching the hedge fund mechanism. @Crypto_peet put it well. It’s going to be quiet here for a bit while @0xfffCrypto builds.

Decent area to bid. It’s touched off 600k a few times and I’ll DCA down to 400k if it if comes to it.

This is a long term hold. Quite bullish about the team. We’ll see where it goes.

Sitting at an order block I’ve had my eye on rn. I think this continues to stair step and break the 1.618 extension at 500k today.
