@ShelleyBlodgett These horses should have funds designated to a return tickets back to the mainland USA if being imported into islands where the average economical stability is poor and no places to go when there careers as athletes are done.

CTA has wonderful OTTBs🐎 ready for their next home👇, but many cannot leave Puerto Rico bc they are piroplasmosis+ (USDA won’t allow it). Unfortunately, there aren’t many qualified adopters on island. PR has ~4X poverty rate of US mainland (~43% vs ~11%), lacks resources, etc.
