@monsieur_doobs They measure dynamic tension of the string bed as opposed to tension the string's been pulled. They're most useful for checking consistency and tension loss. Dynamic tension is normally lower than pulled tension in tennis rackets and higher on squash rackets due to surface area.
Want to see my favourite way to string the @DunlopSquash Evolution 120 Sonic Core racket - the signature frame of The Wolf, Nick Matthew πΊ

Fun at the @BJOsquash with the @DunlopSquash guys, stringing a few rackets for them. Including this amazing custom GG Elite (for Chris, Dunlop) and some rackets for U19's champ, Zakaria. π
@xelatlbr@BJOsquash@DunlopSquash This is a GG custom elite with the correct string pattern. Elias has used an Elite painted in ultimate colours previously.
@andywhipp@RamyAshour@MoElshorbagy @PSAWorldTour Something about Mo and Ramy just clicked on court. Some of the most impressive squash I've ever seen. And to think this is well over a decade ago. Kids coming through the ranks need to watch these guys playing πͺ
@RickyWSQ Nope, as mentioned it's not uncommon to see seedings different to current world rankings. Happens all the time in US Open, Wimbledon and other tennis slams.
@RickyWSQ@schnozliman So players and organisers can make travel and hotel arrangements etc. wouldn't be fair to do it, say, the week before as all the players on the edges would need to cancel other tournaments. Happens in all major tournaments, from football through to tennis. Squash is not alone.
@xelatlbr@Mattsidaway@DunlopSquash Main difference is head size. Beachill racket has a smaller head - Better for control. JP racket has larger head - easier power.
Sometimes you get 1 of these rackets in for a restring. Sometimes you get 3. The rare, expensive and widely regarded as one of the most playable rackets in recent history... the @DunlopSquash JP ICE Elite
