As Christians, we don't share the same faith as Muslims. But the Bible is clear that we are to LOVE our neighbors & Muslims are our neighbors. And when our neighbors mourn...we mourn. When our neighbors are afraid, we show up, listen, protect & remind them that they're not alone.
“Forms and rituals do not produce worship, nor does the disuse of forms and rituals. We can use all the right techniques and methods, we can have the best possible liturgy, but we have not worshiped the Lord until Spirit touches spirit.” - Richard J. Foster #worship
Last year, @YouVersion online community read more than 27 billion chapters of the Bible and listened to another 4.2 billion chapters. The website also observed a 59% increase in the number of “Bible Plan” days completed.
Some boys need medication.
But many boys who are medicated today don't need pills.
They need a father.
They need love.
They need training.
They need discipline.
They need attention.
They need to have fun with Dad.

Fathers: love your boy.
Jesus spent most of his time with the weak, the disgraced, and the guilty. And he loved them. His rebukes were for religious people who thought they were better than others. Those same groups exist today: those who know they’re bad and those who think they’re better.
Drive fueled by love doesn’t measure itself with the world’s scoreboard but God’s scoreboard. It isn’t driven by outward victory but by private victory.
We never feel more hopeless in a tough situation than when we run out of ideas to give God for how to fix it. He doesn’t want suggestions. He wants our full attention. What obstacle is a human impasse to the One who can pave a dry road in a sea and shoot a geyser from solid rock?
"I can do all things through him who strengthens me" (Phil 4:13).
This verse has nothing to do with:
• Sports,
• Personal dreams,
• Being a champion,
• Overcoming obstacles,
• Increased self-esteem.
This verse has to do with endurance in the midst of suffering.
You can do right and still have everything turn out wrong. I am not certain where we got the idea that was not so, given that the One we follow and call God did do everything right and ended up treated with gross injustice.
In a day of pocket-size gods and flash-drive bibles, compact faith and diminished dreams, we need to rediscover the God of the Bible: “Is there anything too hard for Me?” God asked Jeremiah (32:17). “With God all things are possible,” Jesus promised (Mt19:26). #HowGreatThouArt
