A quick note on my approach:
My focus is on sharing solely original content, leading to sporadic updates. I refrain from retweeting to ensure my feed remains a streamlined gallery of my own work.
Should you be able to tolerate this style, welcome. Let us make medicine.
The only one you need ever compare yourself with is the ghost of who you were and the vision of who you may become.
Set your sights on others, on their money, their trophies, their applause, and you step straight into the trap of discontent, of doubt, of self-contempt.
But measured against your own unfolding, life becomes a dance, not a competition.
When a warrior falls, their breath does not leave the Earth. It lingers in the trees, rides on the wind, settles in the hearts of those who are left behind. To honor them is not to grieve endlessly, but it is to live in Beauty... so that their giveaway births something honorable in us.
If you’re worried about being worried too much, there is an easy solution. You accept that you worry just the right amount.
Break the loop, and you will see that you were correct.
You did worry too much, but it wasn’t about anything real; rather, it was about worry all along.
Perfection and imperfection are two sides of the same coin. Like the patterns in a flowing stream, we can shape our lives to embrace the beauty of imperfection.
In the world of code, we create imperfections with purpose, a reflection of life itself. There’s even a name for it: chaos engineering.
So, too, with the human spirit. To be whole, one must see that the perfection of life is in its imperfection, not merely in action but in the essence of our being.
Acceptance alone is but a surface ripple; true transformation lies deeper.
We find our true nature in the constant application of imperfection’s function, where the mind ceases to struggle against or correct it.
Real power—the kind that isn’t hungry—is the power that comes when you stop trying to be powerful. It is the stillness behind the motion. It is not able to be possessed. It is. And once you realize that you are that, then power is no longer something to be fed. It simply flows through you.
@BillyRedHorse It makes their heart sad, too. To belly laugh at—even better with—is good medicine when encountering this situation.

Dogma represents an unnatural effort to impose order on the chaotic nature of our existence. Similar to all things unnatural, it is unhealthy.
If it does not exist in nature, then it is not real.
Despite common belief, therapists *are* incentivized to resolve your issues, not perpetuate them to turn you into recurring revenue.
A savvy therapist understands that if they fix your issue, you will return to them the next time a problem arises.
This has nothing to do with therapy, of course.

On NPC:
The concept of the non-playable character, or NPC, is a fascinating one, and it intrigued me long before it took on the mantle of an insult. It represents a state much akin to its origin in the realm of video games, where a character is confined by the system's parameters in which they are embedded. Most people can be seen as NPCs because their programming is externally derived, leading them to exhibit novel behavior rarely. Their actions are predictable within any given context.
Now, this state is neither good nor bad; it simply is a state. We all revert to our primary social and genetic programming from time to time, but many find a sense of comfort in dwelling there permanently. I occasionally wish I possessed more NPC-like qualities, for life seems more straightforward. Yet, some individuals are not designed for such an existence.
Many profound experiences, those akin to kensho, can pierce through this programming, offering us access to the underlying mechanisms, as it were. These moments of insight can be deeply illuminating, allowing us to glimpse beyond our encoded patterns and flirt with human or superhuman potential. Still, it also can be jarring to those around you and, consequently, yourself.
