Hello!
he/him
designer @cciglasgow

[Struan @struanfraser]

This years' report 👩‍👧‍👦 As we produce these figures every year, we wanted to include stories that ground the figures in reality.

So much work went into this and it shows. The contributing stories, the people who reviewed and everyone @CCIGlasgow have made a foundation for action.

This thread is so cool. Reminds me of bret victor's inventing on principle. Feels like everything coming from @tldraw and @steveruizok is magical. A real hypercard feel about it.

[tldraw @tldraw]

I have an idea...

📊 Our latest #UKPoverty report launched this morning.

🔍 14.4 million people were living in poverty in 2021/22 – and our analysis shows that millions of people would need thousands of pounds just to escape poverty.

I haven't seen anything from Bret Victor for nigh-on a decade and just found this unbelievable demo of bio-molecular design (no idea what that is) which happened in 2022 - https://t.co/de4PWj28gf

If you haven't gone out into the forest with Gillian Smith (@gillianmsmith) and her beautiful advent entry from yesterday, make sure you take a peek. The stars are beautiful this time of year.

@Ian_Fisch @mtrc Sorry I'm not here to engage in an argument.

[Struan @struanfraser]

@Ian_Fisch @mtrc This is reflexively defensive!
(I apologise i don't mean to be rude but it's a perfect example)

[Struan @struanfraser]

@mtrc (there's probably loads of research about this I'm totally ignorant of)

[Struan @struanfraser]

@mtrc About the guns: I've been thinking a lot about how moral panics in our youth likely made many gamers reflexively defensive when it comes to any kind of criticism.

I've thought it might explain why "gamer movements" from the last decade or so are so reactionary.

[Struan @struanfraser]

I'm going to make some christmas code at 10.30 - https://t.co/U3ZSm7RD1C

I'm v ill though so please forgive the snotters
