Rotarians from all over the world have just met in Paris to discuss the future of international organisations. This conference reflected the historical and instrumental role played by Rotary in the setting up of the United Nations 🇺🇳 and the drafting of the UN Charter in 1945.

The people of Ukraine deserve a prosperous, independent, and sovereign future, free from the threat of Russian aggression, and as part of the EU.

We are fully committed to work together on an agreement to end the war, ensuring lasting peace and protecting long-term Euro-Atlantic security and unity.

A new Rotary ICC between Belgium/ Luxembourg and Romania/ Moldova 🇱🇺🇧🇪🇷🇴🇲🇩was signed in Brussels. The ceremony was kindly hosted by Ambassador Andreea PĂSTÂRNAC at her residence.

The Sharm El-Sheikh Summit marks an important step in the path towards peace in Gaza — and a brighter future for Palestinians and Israelis.

In our meeting today, together with the international community, I reaffirmed the EU’s commitment to turn this plan into a lasting success.

Hope begins today in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Thanks to @POTUS, to all the mediators, and to all those who kept working along the way and never gave up, today we celebrate hope and look forward to peace.

Today’s collective pledge brings us one step closer to a lasting peace, grounded on the two-State solution, with Israelis and Palestinians living side by side, leaving no place for terrorism.

Now we must make sure that all the parties contribute constructively to the implementation of the plan.
The EU fully supports its principles and stands ready to contribute to the next steps—in the transitional governance, the security, and the reconstruction of Gaza. As soon as the conditions allow it, we will expand our humanitarian assistance.

The road towards peace is still long. But today the international community is united in our pledge to make it happen.

The Rotary Fusion Summit is over, but philanthropic activities continue. The participants are ‘people of action’, who will now return to their clubs all over the world, Inter-Country-Committees, Rotary Action Groups, the Rotary Foundation etc. to help those in need on the ground.

Brussels Rotary Summit: The Rotary Leadership attended a private audience with HM King Philippe of Belgium🇧🇪. I had the pleasure to moderate two panels (i.a. with the Belgian Minister of Interior Quentin and Rotary CEO Hewko).

An impressive Rotary Fusion Summit in Brussels has come to an end under the leadership of RIP Francesco Arezzo. It was great to meet Rotarians from all over the world and to contribute by delivering a keynote speech on the first day.
