I'll be doing a Keto Deception series where I explore all the reasons why it's not only far from ideal, but a dangerous diet that could harm you badly.
My only goal is to expose all the problems and hopefully prevent people from making a big mistake. Hope you enjoy it
Part 1
Weston Price on fish oils and cod liver oil.
"Its important to emphasize some dangers that arent usually recognized in the literature. When fish oils including cod liver oils are given in too large doses to some patients they experience symptoms of depression. The available
evidence indicates that fish oils that have been exposed to air may develop toxic substances. My work and that of others with experimental animals has demonstrated that paralysis can be produced readily by overdosing. Serious structural damage can be done to hearts and kidneys"

I’m going to address this tweet in the order it was written
Cutting out vegetables means no veggies, sure, and it also means something else replaced them (which can have its own effects)
We help people’s skin conditions improve all the time (see testimonials regularly posted), and improve their detox, and none of it requires vegetables. There is a short list of low “vitamin” A veggies people might do, and many do none of them
Our crowd regularly notices that they are becoming “less leathery”, to the point of not getting sunburns any longer and tanning much less overall
Vegetables are not crucial to detox
Soluble fiber IS critical to detox, and is easily obtained from other sources (oats, beans, apples, barley, etc). Vegetables are not a great source of soluble fiber, they do provide some
Cruciferous veggies that people eat today are entirely human-created hybrids
The sulfur in cruciferous veggies slows down ALDH, one of the most important detox pathways
Humans were given the ability to taste bitterness so that we could avoid eating toxic things
Bitter tastes stimulate bile dumping as the body’s way to facilitate getting rid of these toxic compounds via the bile. Purposefully ingesting bitter foods/herbs to stimulate bile dumping is counterproductive in the long-term
vagal nerve something
-go to bed early, slightly inclined bed
-meditation, yoga
-no alcohol, no tobacco, no fun
-be insufferable around your friends about their health practices
And so on
Alternative health can be great in some aspects but you have to assess wisely because some people's practices are unattainable by the average person and you'll become neurotic and frustrated. Everything is wrong with you and your life.
-buy everything organic or grow your own
Leech therapy is often used in a local manner to get rid of toxicity in an area that is causing pain, inflammation or some dermal issue.
Found three videos, two from India and one from Africa. One applied the leech to the affected area and once finished applied tumeric powder over it, so that the leech vomits the toxic blood that would otherwise make the leech sick and also keeps it hungry to feed again.
The other used a more rudimentary technique. Instead of the leech, they used razor blades to make cuts throughout the body to cause bleeding and alleviate pain, yet leaving the whole body full of scars.
The African one did the razor blade thing, but then put a cow's horn over the wound and suck to create a vacuum and extract more blood. Same principle as cupping.
Bloodletting one way or another is a millenary practice, with well established health promoting benefits. Just doing phlebotomy might be the best bet, although caution needed if quite weak/sick as it's a considerable amount of blood. Cupping is an alternative.
This is especially important with those of Celtic ancestry or history of big dairy consumption for thousands of years.
What we also eat that you forgot for some reason:
-bread, a lot, at every meal.
-quite a bit of rice and pasta
-beans 2x weekly
-good amount of fruit and veggies
-potatoes
-eggs for breakfast isnt very common. Bread with olive oil and coffee is.
-nuts
-alcohol and cigarettes
What Americans think the Mediterranean Diet is:
- Whole grains
- Olive oil
- Colourful vegetables
- The occasional sad sardine
- Moral virtue on a plate
What Mediterranean people actually eat:
- Lamb, constantly, at every celebration and several non-occasions
- Pork in about fifteen formats
- Salami, prosciutto, pancetta, 'nduja, and several more that haven't reached Sainsbury's
- Fish multiple times a week
- Eggs every morning without discussion
- Cheese in quantities that would concern a British GP
- Full-fat yoghurt, not the pastel-pot kind
- Butter, cream, and animal fat as standard cooking mediums
The French consume an extraordinary amount of cheese per person annually.
They are not suffering.
The Mediterranean Diet sold in books is the photogenic fifteen percent of what they actually eat.
The olive oil is real. Everything else got quietly edited out.
I'm all for sending blacks to Africa
But not for the reason you think
Bro has 1 PubMed abstract and zero understanding of POMC
The molecule that produces melanin ALSO produces your body's natural calming opioid
Both outputs driven by UV light
POMC gets cleaved into alpha-MSH (melanin) and beta-endorphin (your endogenous opioid that keeps you calm, prosocial, emotionally regulated)
High melanin is a MARKER telling you this biology evolved where UV was intense year round
Now move that system to 42°N latitude
-UV-B crashes 6 months a year
-POMC stimulation crashes
-Beta-endorphin production crashes
-Vitamin D tanks
-Serotonin synthesis gone
-GABA receptor expression drops
-Circadian MAO-A regulation breaks
You just stripped away every compensatory buffer that made low MAO-A activity functional in its native environment
Kenya sits on the equator
Same genetics, same allele frequencies, but a fraction of the violence. Why??
Because the whole system works when the UV input matches the biology
Claiming a lowish heart rate from an average generally non stressed exerciser as pathogenic or indicative of low metabolic rate is wrong.
If you sleep well, fuel accordingly to needs and feel good, having a lower heart rate isnt bad, is a sign of increased efficiency.
One that lifts weight wont have to apply full force to lift an object VS someone who doesnt, showing better function just like a trained heart. It doesnt mean overtraining or elite exercise are good nor that a low hr is always a good sign. Equally high hr can be a sign of damage
Mold. You know what mold is? It's in the Bible. Leviticus 14. Over 3,000 years ago, God stopped handing down commandments to say, "Hey, if you see greenish or reddish spots going deep into your walls? Get out. Scrape everything. Throw the stones outside the city."
He said if it comes BACK after you fix it... tear the whole damn house down.
That's God. In the Bible. Leviticus 14:33-47. With a mold remediation protocol.
And we look at that and go, "wow, ancient people were so primitive."
Meanwhile in 2026, your landlord is painting over black mold and your doctor is telling you you're anxious.
Over 3,000 years ago they knew to quarantine the house, remove the contaminated stones, scrape the walls, and if it persisted... demolish it.
Today we're arguing about whether mold makes people sick.
We didn't advance past Leviticus on this. We didn't even reach Leviticus.
A Bronze Age priest had a better mold response protocol than your insurance company.
Think about that.
