On All Souls’ Day, we remember with love those who have gone before us. Death may separate us, but love endures. Through Christ’s Resurrection, we trust that our loved ones rest in God’s mercy, awaiting the joy of eternal life.
On this Feast of All Saints a privilege to pray before the relics of many saints @OratoriansMcr St. Chads, before and after Mass. Thank you to the community for making this available. 🙏🏻😇
All Saints’ Day originated in the early Church, when Christians honored martyrs. In 609, Pope Boniface IV dedicated Rome’s Pantheon to Mary and the martyrs. During the eighth century, Pope Gregory III established November 1 as a celebration honoring all the saints.
