48 mins is gameplay time and the clock can be reversed in some plays
Remember my post from 2 days ago about the U.S. making a U-turn on foreign-trained doctors?
We have important new details from the Intealth (ECFMG) memo released yesterday.
Here is the situation:
- For doctors already in the U.S.: The news is confirmed. Intealth is now processing J-1 renewals and continuing sponsorships for the 2026/2027 year. If you are already in the U.S., you can move forward with your paperwork immediately.
- For doctors outside the U.S.: We have to wait a bit longer. The memo Intealth released yesterday only specifically mentioned doctors already in the U.S. It did not give clear instructions for those currently abroad waiting for their first visa.
While we wait, we are hopeful that Intealth will release another memo soon that specifically covers doctors outside the U.S.
For now, if you have a contract or matched, tell your hospital (TPL) to submit your application anyway. It is better to have your documents in the system while we wait for more news.
We will keep you posted as soon as more information is available. 🥂💪
US-based Nigerian doctor dies during Abia State medical outreach
Dr. Uzoma Nwaubani, a U.S.-based doctor, died after a sudden medical emergency while participating in a free medical outreach in Abia State.
She had returned to Nigeria with her husband and daughter — a 5th year medical student for the five-day programme organized by Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA) in collaboration with the Abia State Government.
Despite urgent efforts by fellow doctors to resuscitate her, she could not be saved.
What began as a mission to heal ended in tragedy. This is sad.
God is truly great—greater than our doubts, our fears, and every obstacle along the way.
incredibly grateful to share that I have passed the USMLE Step 2 CK exam with a score of 269 (top 10th percentile)

@Monni_Monni96@K3N3_X So why is the ref from the other semi-finals going as well as 6 other referees from Africa while the referee's that blew 2/3 of AFCON's top matches don't get to go
@atkkay That's not actually the point, what I am saying is... There's no 1 formula to use and pass the exam
If you go to Reddit, you'd see people that didn't read FA and only did Uworld and passed, you'd also see people that only did FA, zero Uworld (instead they did NBME) & passed
If you ever have intentions of writing international exams, you better dump that Sembulingham and pick up your Guyton/Costanzo and read...
It's either you suffer while in preclinical, or you'd suffer during your exam prep. Choose wisely 🤷
If you’re an orthopedic surgeon, you have no business performing a caesarean section, even if you’re very good at it.
The day anything goes wrong, even if the procedure was done perfectly, the first question will be: why is an orthopedic surgeon operating on a pregnant woman?
Your patient will drag you until you lose your license.
Don’t sacrifice your license for a failed system.
The moment a patient needs a specialist, even if you think you can handle it, write that consult and refer immediately to the appropriate specialist.
Save yourself. Save your license.
