What an incredible job these children have done with their plan for a digital painting in Computing. They are based on Kandinsky and the use of colour representing different emotions.
As part of our writing lesson this morning we enjoyed a hot chocolate. We used adjectives to describe how we drank it and how it made us feel. We then wrote sentences using the vocabulary we had used.
We enjoyed our Maths party this morning. We played snakes and ladders, enjoyed addition colouring by number, and finished our morning watching Numberblocks with whiteboards and pens, writing down numbers every time we spotted a different character. #SilasMaths
In science today we dissected plants to find the different parts. We found the roots, stem, leaves and flowers and learnt about each of their functions. We especially loved the feel of the roots! #SilasScience
Today as part of our English lesson we visited our Oasis Garden. We went on a nature hunt, colour hunt and enjoyed the rain! We had big happy faces when we arrived, and sad faces when we had to leave 🌿💦
Lots of the staff from our amazing multi-academy trust are doing the Liverpool Pretty Muddy Race for Life in memory of our wonderful CEO and special friend, Jonathan who sadly lost his battle with Leukaemia on 06/03/23. 💔🌈. Please donate if you can. https://t.co/aIELiFLAsk
What a wonderful evening we've had @stsilasschool. Our whole school family has come together for a very special Iftar celebration. Thank you so much to everyone who came and shared a lovely celebration, and also to everyone who worked hard behind the scenes to make it happen.
I absolutely love working in a school within such a generous and kind community! What a brilliant evening and wonderful event! Thank you so much to all of our families for being so giving and sharing this special moment with us (and so much food!) ☪️ #iftar
