The St. Stephen’s Eco-Justice committee, the Green Team, were busy this Saturday morning laying down cardboard and preparing a portion of our front lawn for a pocked prairie. We will be blessing the pocket prairie at our Rogation procession in May.
We are very happy to hear that Bishop Brian Thom will be serving as provisional bishop of North Dakota. Bishop Briand and his wife Ardelle visited St. Stephen's in September 2021 while visiting the area.
It was a busy morning at St. Stephen's and the weather definitely cooperated for us as a cadre of volunteers gathered to plant pavers for the new walkway in front of the church. 1 1/2 hours later the walkway was done. And it looks great!!
Look what arrived today! We will be installing the pavers on the front lawn this Saturday morning at 9:30. If you can help, please stop by (the work should be pretty light. Fr. Jamie will bring a wheel barrow, pick up a bag or two of sand and will provide refreshments.
Fr. Jamie will lead a training/refresher course for the Altar Guild this Sunday after Mass open to new people who would like to serve on Altar Guild, as well as a post-pandemic refresher course for existing Altar Guild members. Please contact Fr. Jamie if you have any questions.
It was wonderful to have Bishop Brian Thom, recently retired Bishop of Idaho, and his wife Ardele Hanson, visit St. Stephen's this morning as they were passing through Fargo.
A beautiful Dedication Sunday at St. Stephen's: the house was packed, we had a baptism, blessed & dedicated our new windows, welcomed 6 new members (2 were unable to be in church this morning) (we welcomed 13 new members this year) & we rededicated our Children's Chapel.
Prayers for the repose of the soul of Holly Holden-Eklund, who died last evening in her home. Holly was a faithful member of St. Stephen’s and a very dear friend to many of us.
