When I started @100daysnocode, everytime a new competitor entered the space, it hit me hard.
I was super externally focused on things I couldn't control. This made my decision making reactive and my anxiety high.
But the longer I've been in this game, the more I realise the power of internal focus.
It's you against you. And thankfully you is something you can control.
It's behaviours you choose to take - everyday votes that you believe will help you build the company you want.
But with all the optimism and ambition in the world, if those behaviours aren't giving you tangible results it's super easy to ask "what's the point"?
I must have asked this question a million times and last week I got my answer...
Compounding.
The thing that's invisible until it isn't.
For me this was making more revenue in one day than I did in the entirety of my first year in business and...
Hiring talent that I would never have believed I could attract.
I can trace each of these things back to relationships and brand that I'd started building nearly 3yrs ago.
That's compounding.
So the question becomes: are you consistent and patient enough to reap the fruits of compounding?
It's a long game folks!
