Strange isn't it, two people who deliberately killed a police officer are set for early release due to overcrowding, but a man who recently threw a traffic cone in the direction of officers and hitting nobody, is currently in prison for the next two years.
#BBCBreakfast
The old “our prisons are overcrowded” argument is doing the rounds again.
There are currently 10,737 foreign nationals in custody in England and Wales—around 12% of the prison population.
Here’s a thought: instead of releasing rapists and murderers early, deport foreign national offenders who have no right to remain here.
The added bonus? It will save the taxpayer around £600 million a year.
Overcrowding addressed. Public protected. Common sense.
Thank you for your attention, @andyburnham.
So a dinghy carrying over 150 migrants capsized after the engine caught fire. Both English and French rescue teams managed to rescue all migrants & they were returned to France.
So migrants CAN BE RETURNED to France 🤷♀️.
Why did the French not stop all these migrants from boarding the dinghy, surely they would have spotted over 150 people wearing lifejackets all scrambling to get on one boat.
As reported by @thenowherephoto there would have been several of the smugglers present as the migrants got on the boat so have they been arrested for endangering lives???
No need for early release.
Deport the 10,000 foreign prisoners in UK jails.
If their countries won't take them back, cut off ALL aid/trade & visas.
Why not? 🇬🇧
@Neccccy 2 of the 3 are right surely?
Everyone is Britain should respect Britain
Its 2026, if we stop funding mad shit abroad the we can surely feed muslim kids halal food
And why on earth would a christian kid want a halal option?
At 13 years old, Ellie Reynolds was walking down a street in Barrow when a local restaurant owner dragged her into a car.
He drugged her.
Took her to a filthy flat with dirty mattresses on the floor.
And then she was gang-raped, beaten and tortured by a group of immigrant Asian men. These beasts destroyed her physically and mentally.
It didn’t stop.
For five years this was her life repeated abuse, threats to cut out her tongue, dogs set on her, held hostage in takeaways and flats.
When she finally found the courage to tell the police what had been done to her, they didn’t arrest her abusers.
They arrested her.
Less than 24 hours after reporting a gang rape, police turned up at her family home and charged her with blackmail.
That charge was later dropped. She was acquitted.
But her actual abusers walked free on her case. The Crown Prosecution Service said there was “no realistic prospect of conviction.”
One of the men she named the man known as “Sarj” was later convicted of dozens of child rape and sexual abuse offences against other girls and given a life sentence.
Ellie still waits for justice on what was done to her.
A 13-year-old girl was snatched off the street in broad daylight, systematically raped for years… and when she asked for help, the system treated her as the criminal.
This is not a failure.
This is a betrayal.
UK authorities failed Ellie Reynolds.
And she is not the only one. WHY does our Policing and Justice systems protect and put criminals especially immigrant criminals ahead of victims.
Something has got to change.
These animals shouldn’t be in this country.
