Autism Awareness! Help out by sharing or sponsoring my friend & colleague, Amy. She's the real deal. She helps lead a SEND dept. at a secondary school, and has been involved with #AutismAwareness her entire life. #Autism#Autistic#Cycling#Fundraising https://t.co/lzdTt8TlEa
@Mid_WifeCrisis@ruth_march@deedee46 @MPUoL @AstraZeneca I honestly don't know, it all happened very quickly, so I'd have to ask. But my doctors are usually very quick off the mark. The talk is on YT, I think it's titled 'Patient Story: Surviving SJS' If you search it should pop up.
@Mid_WifeCrisis ...but those occasional errors have been just as valuable. It's one hell of a learning curve, as you know! I hope you've stayed as safe and well as possible during this tricky time. I don't use Twitter much so apologies if my replies are hard to follow! :)
@Mid_WifeCrisis We've grown into it together. They've also worked their rears off to understand the condition, I've been very lucky on that front. I have the same relationship with all my docs. I trust their judgement, and they mine. There's always the odd curve ball, and we've made mistakes...
@Mid_WifeCrisis@ruth_march@deedee46 @MPUoL @AstraZeneca ... who've had both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine too, without issue. But the standard advice for all SJS patients has to be that there's risk with all meds. Weigh risk/benefit with your GP based on medical history. Sorry I can't help more. I'll let you know if there's guidance.
@Mid_WifeCrisis@ruth_march@deedee46 @MPUoL @AstraZeneca As far as I'm aware it's done on a case by case basis, dependant on secondary conditions/long term effects of reaction. I was given the AZ vaccine in group 4 with no issues aside from flu jab like symptoms. Sorry I can't be of more help. I do know SJS patients...
@DJohnsonTrials All the best with it. Let me know how you get on - I'll check my account from now on! I'm up at Liverpool Uni from time to time working with a department occasionally, I'll keep my eyes peeled - for all the good that'll do with my sight! Stay safe and well!
Great to meet our friendly and inspirational neighbours @NIHRCRN_nwcoast earlier this week. Hope we can find ways to work together #PRIA#IAmResearch @NIHR_PRAI
