493rd 'Grim Reapers' F-15C which I caught powering through the Lakes on Thursday for what was probably my last opportunity to catch them…📸@48FighterWing@RAFLakenheath1
Sixteen years I’ve been climbing hills in search of F-15C’s from the ‘Reapers’ & with time running out for the 493rd I thought I missed my chance. But yesterday in the Lakes it finally came to fruition, the weather may of not been up to much, but I’ll take this….💀
Last Eagles in Europe…💀
Special ‘Grim Reaper’ painted up to mark the end of operations with the 493rd FS & the end of 45 years of the F-15 as an air-superiority fighter in Europe. Caught returning to @48FighterWing last week in some lovely light.
