Sobering @guardian article on the significant funding decline for UK parks in recent years with reductions more acute in more deprived areas. With local authority funding in dire straights a new funding approach is needed to ensure their future. @luhc @katejosephs @parks_forum

How many times do we need to say this before someone listens and does something? Words are no longer good enough. Parks are in a spiral of decline and unless there is serious investment from @GOVUK then they will be lost forever!!

Great to come back from holiday to see the Charnock pump track upgrade (Bowman Drive). The track is now fully tarmac, making it easier to maintain & good to ride throughout the seasons! @ridesheffield @ParksSheffield @movemoresheff @theoutdoorcity @SYCycleWalk @LukeBWilson
