Another Rape in Glasgow reported

A woman was allegedly raped inside her own home in Glasgow’s Gorbals on June 12.

Police rushed to the property and arrested a 56 year old man at the scene over the serious sexual assault.

The 56 year old man was released pending further enquiries and the investigation is still ongoing.

No further description of the offender has come out.

This comes as rapes in Glasgow have shot up significantly, with the Safe Glasgow Partnership recording 357 rape crimes in 2024-25 compared to 254 the previous year

A 41% jump in just one year.
