That moment you start having a deep and meaningful conversation with your partner so you pause your Smosh Reddit stories viewing session only for @Co_Mill to keep us company with this freeze frame
@mattcolville May not be a 15 year old, but I've gone deeper into the Dune story. Currently onto Children of Dune.
I'm sure you've put your two cents into this more than once, but I am curious about your feelings about how Frank Herbert's Narrative evolved over the novels he wrote?
@I_AM_WILDCAT@BigJigglyPanda@fourzer0seven was just about to watch your tiktok reacts but had to pause it early on. I saw the pause frame & couldn't help but appreciate how it looked. A perfectly Timed photo of just 3 friends having a great Time and wanted to share with you all
@HermioneChapma1@Eden2User@newscomauHQ I dunno rottweilers you've ever met, but sounds to me like you either never have, have a phobia of big dogs, or their owners were shitty abusive people.
@RadioPhysician@AussieBel The circumstances leading to my conception, though, were certainly reckless, but it was a couple of horny teenagers in the 80s and either they weren't playing safe or a condom broke or something and here I am. Neither can remember the circumstances. I just exist 😄
@RadioPhysician@AussieBel As a child of this kind of circumstance and seeing photos of my mother at that age, I can say without error that it is, in fact, possible for someone to go about their lives without knowing. My mother maintained her period, never had the bump nothing. It can happen, although rare
@outstarwalker Overall though, it has its flaws, but is still an enjoyable experience. It's not about winning or losing, just narrative; like an actual TTRPG.
I have one more chapter of scene 2 to complete and we'll see how it goes from there.
Only really for VTM fans is my only other comment
@outstarwalker I was streaming my playthrough of this last night. My take away so far has been that:
visually it does create some good atmosphere, though the mouth tracking for characters is a little odd.
Pacing is slow, but gives a lot of Time for contemplating actions.
(Cont.)
@outstarwalker ....does lean into the randomness of success and failure that happens in RPGs.
The characters have been enjoyable and I've been really trying to create a narrative of personality with each. I even had to make a really hard choice at one point and felt terrible for it.
(Cont. 3)
@outstarwalker The only thing is that with that pacing it does lend itself to getting you lost on how to move forward sometimes.
Dialogue choices are interesting and the willpower and hunger mechanics do emulate that need for resource management like in the TTRPG which...
(Cont. 2)
@mattcolville There's always a way around it. People have epiphanies of circumstance all the Time and so if it is roleplayed in a fashion demonstrable to that, why not. If we're talking a 2+2=blue low int character, then it can be roleplayed in a genuinely novel dumb luck "I push buttons" way
@WhatCultureWWE watching hook debut on rampage, my GF and I immediately saw him as a future perfect antagonist for Sammy Guevara that could have major marquee feuds together. I'm inclined to agree, even to a Rock v Austin level in a couple years. Looking at it, what do you think?
